1 pkg. devils food cake mix
2 eggs
1 (15 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 teaspoon almond extract
Ganache Frosting:
5 tablespoons butter
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon almond extract
Cake:
1. In large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, cherry pie filling, and almond extract.
2. Pour batter into greased 9 X 13 glass baking dish.
3. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
4. Frost while cake a ganache topping are still warm.
Frosting:
1. In medium saucepan, melt butter.
2. Add sugar and stir.
3. Add milk and chocolate chips.
4. Stir until chocolate chips are melted.
5. Pour warm frosting over warm cake. Spreading evenly over the entire cake.
