1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
In medium bowl, cream together peanut butter, butter, and sugars. Add
egg and stir to combine. In small bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking
soda and powder. Combine flour mixture with butter mixture. Refrigerate
for 3 hours or over night. Make 1 1/4" balls. Roll in white sugar.
Place on non-greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten with fork in a
crisscross pattern. Bake in 350 degree oven for 12 to 14 minutes or
until tops are golden brown.
The taste and texture of these cookies
makes them absolutely the best peanut butter cookies I've ever had.
Serve with a big glass of cold milk!
If you want to add a little chocolate, break off a square of Hershey's Chocolate Bar and place in middle of cookie as soon as they are out of the oven
