We are so pleased that our beautiful, sweet Elle was selected out of 84 junior high school students to go the district Poetry Slam with a poem she wrote and performed in front of judges and junior high students. In about a week, she will compete again.
Elle's writing is above her years. It is thrilling for me, her mom, to see my two daughters excel in writing, a passion of mine. I was a journalism student, but changed my major to nursing. Polar opposites. I was encouraged by my university professors to pursue writing. In my own way, I am doing that now!
