1 cup whipping cream

1. Pour cream and salt into a pint glass jar and secure lid.
2. Shake until butter forms and separates from butter milk, about 10 to 15 minutes.
This is a really good arm workout and kids love taking a turn at shaking. Homemade butter tastes fresh and light. Don't throw out the buttermilk. Use it in a cake recipe or a buttermilk ranch dressing. So fun and tasty. I felt like a genuine pioneer!
